As an exchange student, having a local student to support you during your stay can make all the difference. That’s where the ESN Buddynetwork TU Wien Buddy System comes in!

Before your semester starts, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to sign up for the Buddy System. If you don’t receive it, feel free to reach out to us via our WhatsApp Community, email, or Instagram—we’re happy to help!

Once you sign up, you’ll be matched with 1–2 local students (your Local Buddies) and some other international students, forming a Buddy Group.
Your Local Buddies are volunteer students who love meeting people from different cultures. They can:

✅ Help you navigate life at TU Wien
✅ Share insights about Vienna, local culture, and student life
✅ Assist with bureaucratic processes and practical tips
✅ Support you in improving your German (if you’re interested!)

Joining the Buddy System is completely voluntary, and you’re always welcome to participate in ESN events, whether or not you have a buddy. But trust us—it’s a great way to start your semester with new friends and local support! 💙
